I love graffiti, especially in Buenos Aires.
I did a graffiti biking tour last year with Graffitimundo and Biking Buenos Aires. I also enjoyed seeking out some lesser-known graffiti murals in the city.
I wanted more.
I was very excited to go on Graffitimundo’s Hidden Walls Tour, which takes you to barrios of the city you would probably never visit as a traveler, or even as a longer-term resident like I was last year. And even if you did go to those barrios, you would never see half of the great art I saw on this tour.
Because there are literally “Hidden Walls.”
I took a billion photos, and here are my 4 favorite photos from the tour.
I like how realistic this scene appears.
Gotta love the juxtaposition of Maradona wearing the British flag.
This neighborhood took it upon themselves to make their street beautiful and also invited graffiti artists to paint some murals.
How cool is it to see a piece of art in progress.
I already told you about what a great company Graffitimundo is when I first wrote about them last year. They have relationships with the artists, and really know the graffiti art scene in BA. They use the proceeds from their tourism business to fund graffiti-related projects, and they are even applying for NGO status this year.
Take a Tour!
There are a variety of tours offered, and they all include transportation via a comfortable van or a bike. Check out the Graffitimundo site and choose the one that interests you most.
Check out more Buenos Aires Graffiti Photos!
…or is it a piece of art in progress….?

If anything I will say that Argentina has some of the most spectacular colors.
Erica recently posted..Oh yeah, that is sooooooo Argentina.
And apparently, the good spray paint is REALLY expensive. So it’s great if the artists can get someone to sponsor a piece and cover that cost.

Very cool shots! BA is the first city that comes to mind as far as street art. I also like murals in San Francisco’s Mission District and graffiti in Montreal – there’s tons of it there!
I have yet to see the street art in San Fran and Montreal. Thanks for the tip!
