I took this photo at the Centro Cultural Ex-Carcel. The prison at this site was shut down in 1999, and late last year a cultural center was opened on the grounds.
They are still renovating the prison building, and I peeked through the fence to get this silhouette of a man working inside.
I love that picture!
Its one of my favorites from your photos of the week. Awesome.

Great photo. Interesting that it was a prison and that it will be made into a cultural center. Should be interesting to see when it is completed.

Nice photo, I like how the fence frames hi silhouette. The back-lite wall behind him really helps to tell a story. If only those walls could talk.

I think the best photos are more about the right time and right place. Of course, you have to know how to get the shot quickly too, and I am still working on that.

It’s a cool idea, and the facility is really nice. However, they are a little crazy about security. I think that they think they are still guarding a prison.

Since it used to be a prison, I liked the idea of framing the shot with the fence.

Beautiful picture! Looking forward to more pictures of Valparasio! I just love the color of the city. You should take a boat and go to the sea and should look at the city from the sea. Ohh…I am sure you will love it.
I actually tried to do the boat thing, but the line was ridiculous. It was the height of tourist season. I was satisfied with all of my aerial viewpoints of the city

Another great shot.
Makes you wonder what he’s thinking or what he wants to do instead of being there. It’s a pretty cool shot.
Love the perspective of this photo! Very cool.
