As you know, I am ending my travel sabbatical in Latin America. I will go back home to Columbus, Ohio and continue with my professional career, but that does not mean I will stop traveling.
Having a “real job” again will allow me to replenish my travel savings and explore more parts of the world.
One country I really want to visit is Spain.
I have been to Spain previously, but I was in high school on a whirlwind tour of three countries in ten days. Needless to say, I didn’t really get to soak in the experience. I remembered loving Barcelona and Madrid and would love to go back and experience those cities again now that I am older and (hopefully) wiser. There are also many other parts of Spain I would like to explore.
One area that has recently captured my attention is the Canary Islands.
Gorgeous beaches and clear blue water, adventure sports, natural wonders, good food, and excellent wines are just a few things about the Canary Islands I’d like to enjoy for a week or two.
And I can practice my Spanish skills too
Check out this video: Directline Holidays’ Guide to the Canary Islands.
(It’s even more appealing because the narrator has a British accent.)

Looks like a fun travel place. I know the feeling. I have barely adjusted to California time and am already starting to think about where I want to go next. Ah, the life of a travel addict.
