Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge allowed me to geek out on photography and experience another cultural highlight of New York City.
The Brooklyn Bridge is a well-known symbol of New York City and appears in the opening credits of many television shows (Sex and the City) and in movies (I Am Legend).
At the time it was built, the Brooklyn Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world. Today, it is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States.
And it’s a pretty sexy photography subject.

Awesome photos! I sat on the side of it last year, thinking I might fall off, and got a great shot with the New York skyline in the background. Yours are way better though!

I would love to go back another time and get some sunset photos with the skyline in the background.

Love how you captured the bridge and glad they finally finished that construction up there, it was starting to look horrid 😀

Glad it was done before I got there. It is always annoying to discover a landmark covered in scaffolding, especially when you’re just visiting.

Stunning photos of my favorite bridge! When I lived closer to the bridge, in the summer time, I used to always jog over the bridge, have a coffee in Manhattan, and jog back to Brooklyn in the early morning. I surely miss that.

A little trivia. The original, or prototype, of the Brooklyn Bridge is in Cincinnati, across the Ohio River. Yes, it is still standing and in use every day.
