When I hear that there is a “butter tasting” on a restaurant menu…
…I get a little excited.
I went to Nashville for a bachelorette party for a good friend from college.
And we all know how to enjoy a good meal.
Live Simple. Consume Less. Experience More.

Again, that sounds incredible. I definitely have to hotfoot my way to Nashville soon!

This was A LOT of butter. One order served six of us, and we still didn’t eat it all.

Wow, that sounds great. I have never heard of a butter tasting and I lived in “The South”. Too funny. Now I will have to hunt them down, as we are a butter lovin’ family for sure!

A few years ago my sister introduced me to butter made by the Amish. You could make two grilled cheese sandwiches, one with regular butter from the supermarket and one with Amish butter and visibly see the difference. And of course, it tasted ten times better.

Considering I once ate the majority of a bowl of butter balls as a kid (no, I do not know why!), I think I could enjoy a butter tasting.

Irish butter has been my fav so far…and once in a gourmet restaurant we were served some butter that was made by monks in a tiny town in Italy or something like that. It was a divine experience I have yet to replicate!
Stephanie - The Travel Chica says
Never had Irish butter before. So much more to taste in the world

Wow – I’m not sure what to think about butter tasting… are they different herbed butter or plain butter from different creameries? What does the ‘duck’ mean?

Stephanie - The Travel Chica says
They are all made a little differently, but it’s not just about herbs.
For example, duck butter is dairy butter enriched with duck fat. Goat butter is made from goat’s milk.

Sounds and looks delicious. This reminded me of a time that I ate in a very nice restaurant in Las Vegas. They served us some of the best peanut butter I have ever had. It was made with 4 or 5 different kinds of peanuts and was amazing!

I gasped as I read this. Peanut butter is my weakness (I wrote an ‘ode to peanut butter’ a few months into my Latin America travels). I must find an excuse to go to Vegas ASAP!
