I have known about the RoadsideAmerica.com website for years, and I finally used it.
Wytheville, Virginia
On the way home from Charleston, South Carolina, we drove right by Wytheville. I had done my research and was intrigued by the description of this commercial oddity.
I love the photo! Never used the RoadsideAmerica site so thanks for posting.

I’ve never used the app, but may need to download it. I would seriously hate to think I drove right by someplace like this and missed it!

The website is not the best design, but it’s worth the pain to find something like this.

I love the picture and the place. It looks so clean and peaceful. I also like that giant pencil in front of Wytheville Office Supply. 😉

Thanks, Jemma. There was actually another store right next to this with a giant paint bucket.

Never heard of it but I’m going to have to get it before our road trip next month
It’s a must! I can’t wait to see what you guys find.

I love small quirky towns, they always make for an interesting detour on a road trip!
There wasn’t a sole outside when we stopped, but it would have been interesting to ask some locals about the giant pencil.

I love looking out for the same sort of thing in Canada – and it’s always the small towns it seems where you find the quirky statues or pieces of art.
That’s a great one you discovered.

My favourite small town is Yachats (pronounced Ya-hawts) on Oregon’s coast. What a beautiful little artist town in such a rugged area.

You what’s crazy…. I just went to Yachats! Unfortunately, it was not for 72 hours.

Seems to be a great city to live in.
That’s so charming! Definitely not something you would find in a big city. Thanks for sharing this photo!
